In case you missed it, a few weeks ago Aura Tea inaugurated its first brick and mortar store on 121 Spear St just across the street from one of Google’s San Francisco offices. We celebrated the occasion by throwing our first BOBA LANDS, a three day party featuring influencers from across California, fitness classes from local coaches, great deals on boba, and a whole lot more.
If you couldn’t make it in person, we’ve got you covered. Here is a sampling of some of the fun we had:
THEMXXNLIGHT
We were ecstatic when we learned THEMXXNLIGHT were available for the weekend. Booking them was an easy decision, and their set at BOBA LANDS justified the hype. For those who don’t know, THEMXXNLIGHT is one of the hottest rising R&B duos in the Bay. Identical twin brothers Akash and Krish Chandani have blown up recently, racking up millions of streams and scoring three features on Wiz Khalifa’s hit album Rolling Paper 2. At the grand opening, THEMXXNLIGHT brought the heat and had everyone dancing while sipping on their boba.
Dmac the Party Starter
Speaking of entertainment, we were also pumped to have Dmac come by to drop some bars and hang out in the store. Recently, Dmac’s new album “The Party Starter 2” has been making waves in the hip-hop community. Check out his latest collaboration Northern California (NorCal) and be sure to look out for Dmac as a rising star coming out of the Bay Area.
The Influencer Menu
To celebrate our commitment to influencer culture and honor our business partners, who all helped us make this celebration happen, we brought out a special line of drinks influenced by some of TikTok and Instagram’s trailblazers. We featured rapper Jufu’s strawberry Kè, influencer group flavehouse’s watermelon-pineapple The Flave, and athlete Mia Mastrov’s chocolate-strawberry milk tea. In the future, watch out for our newest influencer collab with Joleen Diaz.
Zumba with BOLLYWOOD DANCE CONNECTION
As a company dedicated to helping people feel better by making delicious health and wellness-conscious drinks available to everyone, it only made sense that we would have a bit of fun exercise at our party. Emphasizing fun, we brought in BOLLYWOOD DANCE CONNECTION, a San Jose-based fitness studio inspired by Indian dance, to host a free zumba class for anyone who stopped by the cafe. Everyone, whether they were a dancing protege or had two left feet, could participate and learn a few moves.
Surprise Guests

We had a crowd of influencers and celebrity guests pull up to our grand opening, but there were also a few names we held back to build a little extra suspense for BOBA LANDS. But now that it’s over, we feel like we should share some of the surprise appearances we had at the grand opening. Among the notable names that visited, we had hip-hop artist Khaysie, photographer josephthevisionary, and YouTuber milkyboos drop by to drink some boba and party with us. Expect to see more big names hanging around the boba shop, getting work done, and networking in the near future. We have a lot of exciting new partners working with us every day, and we can’t wait to announce them soon.
The Community
San Francisco and the whole Bay Area community showed us a lot of love this weekend, coming through to party and drink plenty of boba with us as we celebrated the beginning of our journey as a cafe. We felt a lot of love and embraced by the local community and are excited to do more in the future with our day ones. Seriously, there would be no Aura Tea without the Bay Area community, and we could not be happier that we chose San Francisco as our home.
Again, thank you to everyone who came out to support Aura Tea at our Grand Opening and for helping make our little startup dreams come true. We couldn’t do any of this without you. Be on the lookout for future events, celebrations, and updates about Aura Tea by following us on Instagram and TikTok.
